Colleagues,

Can you help a teacher locate the program called CARD (Computer Assisted
Reading Diagnosis) that helps teachers measure students' oral and silent
vocabulary knowledge, reading comprehension, oral reading rates, word recognition, and
the speed at which they can name letters?

We are seeking a way to profile student strengths and needs, so that
instruction can be targeted to specific areas of alphabetics, vocabulary,
comprehension, and fluency.

I know there are several of you who are teaching reading at the university
level, doing research on current practice, and publishing in juried journals.
Have you used CARD? Please tell us about it.

All the Best,

Meta Potts, Moderator 4-EFF List
