Hello,

Here's a publication of possible interest: "Helping Job Seekers Who
Have Limited Basic Skills." It's available in the "Publications"
section of the web site of the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce
Development at Rutgers University (www.heldrich.rutgers.edu).

It was written by Paul Jurmo and Jennifer Cleary (with a section on
educational technology written by David Rosen) for One Stop-type career
center staff. The purpose was to help career centers know how to better
serve job seekers who lack literacy skills, English fluency, or a
secondary level credential.

Hello to the Workplace Literacy Discussion List!

I am focusing on building relationships with collorators
to develop out Workplace literacy curriculum at the
ProjeCt of Easton.

I would like to hear more about how others have formed
relationships with CareerLinks, local and regional
employers, Chambers of commerce, etc.

Thank you!
